In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
